The international break gives us a chance to tackle some Chelsea topics outside the mainstream, and that includes the insane form of Shim Mheuka.

Glimpsed in the first team already – he got 20 minutes against Lincoln in the Carabao Cup earlier this season while Marc Guiu was still building up fitness – the 18 year old has been in sensational form for club and country all season.

Shim Mheuka signs a Chelsea contract.

He scored two last night for England’s Under-19s, keeping up his red hot club form for Chelsea in PL2 and in the UEFA Youth League. He’s hit 13 G/A in his last 8 games for club and country.

You can see his second goal for England last night in the video embedded here:

It’s tricky to see him getting first team minutes for us now that Liam Delap and Guiu are both up and running, but if he keeps scoring at this rate a January loan move surely has to be on the cards. If not, next summer expect him to head to the Championship or perhaps to Strasbourg to take his incredible talents up a level.

In the meantime, we just get to enjoy the insanity of his stats racking up, and hope to see him in the first team again soon. He’s already made a Premier League debut – how long until we get to see him back in the picture?

In other news…

Moises Caicedo is going to play a friendly in Canada with Ecuador, although many fans and pundits would rather that he didn’t.

Chelsea are still on the hunt for a dominant, physical leader at the back to help them in the new look Premier League, and a player they’ve had their sights on for years could be just what the doctor ordered.
