Construction is currently in full swing on Säbener Straße. While FC Bayern is extensively modernizing its club facilities, the planned 150-million-euro training center will have to wait for now.
FC Bayern is continuing to push forward with the modernization of its training complex. Extensive construction work is currently underway at the club’s facilities on Säbener Straße, aimed at bringing the existing infrastructure up to date.
However, the Munich-based club actually had much bigger plans. Some time ago, the supervisory board had approved the construction of a new training center. According to internal estimates, the project is expected to cost around 150 million euros.
However, it will still be some time before construction begins. According to the latest information from BILD, the delay is primarily due to structural challenges. The new training center is to feature two underground levels. However, the necessary earthwork would generate large amounts of excavated material, which would have to be hauled away by numerous trucks.
This additional traffic burden on local residents apparently represents one of the biggest obstacles at the moment. Until a solution is found, the high-profile project remains on hold.

Instead, FC Bayern is initially focusing on renovating the existing buildings.
As part of the work, a small extension will be built toward the training fields. A new, modern meeting room is to be set up on the first floor of that extension.
The record-holding champion is also investing in its medical infrastructure. The areas for physical therapy, athletic training, and performance diagnostics will be expanded and modernized to provide the professional players with even better conditions in the future.
The fan shop on Säbener Straße will also undergo technical upgrades as part of the renovation work.
At the same time, work is underway on several training fields to enhance the overall infrastructure of the club’s grounds.
Even though the new training center is still some time away, FC Bayern is continuing to make targeted investments in the future of its training facility and is gradually creating more modern conditions for players and staff.
