VfB Stuttgart 4 - SC Freiburg 0

Fans at the MHP Arena were treated to an ideal start as VfB Stuttgart paved the way to an all-important win over SC Freiburg. Anthony Rouault claimed his first Bundesliga goal as he nodded in from an Angelo Stiller corner. The Swabians doubled their lead in the 17th-minute after another corner. Freiburg cleared the initial cross but Stiller managed to find Ermedin Demirovic unmarked to tap home.

The Bosnian international thought he had bagged a brace just before the half-hour when Jamie Lewelling picked him out but the 26-year-old was found in an offside position after a VAR review. The Breisgauers' afternoon was compounded when Max Rosenfelder coughed up a penalty just before half-time. Jamie Lewelling felt the contact and Nick Woltemade swept the ball into the lower left corner from the spot.

Stuttgart didn't let up in the second-half as Deniz Undav made it 4-0 with ten minutes remaining. After a swift one-two, Chris Führich raced free down the left to cut back for Undav in the pocket. A significant deflection off Jordy Makengo's back left Florian Müller with no chance as Sebastian Hoeneß' men sailed towards a big three points.

Bayern Munich 3 - VfL Wolfsburg 2

Die Rekordmeister made sure of victory in style this afternoon at the Allianz Arena, however Vincent Kompany's men didn't have it all their own way. Bayern constructed a lead inside 10 minutes as Leon Goretzka thumped home from 21-yards just beyond the outstretched fingertips of Kamil Grbara. Die Wölfe responded through Mohamed Amoura who capitalised on Goretzka's tame clearance.

Bayern wasted no time in restoring their lead before the break through Michael Olise. Leroy Sané fed the Frenchman who fired a long-range shot through Denis Vavro's legs. Grbara didn't cover himself in glory but the Polish goalkeeper was likely shortsighted by bodies in his eyeline. Much to the frustration of Joshua Kimmich, a VAR review denied the midfielder of a goal before the interval with Tobias Reichel adjudging the 29-year-old of handball.

The Bavarian giants were forced to wait until the 62nd-minute before they could extend their advantage. Ralph Hassnhüttl won't be too pleased by his team's rather loose defending as Michael Olise picked out the head of the unmarked Leon Goretzka who nodded home for his brace. Wolfsburg failed to give in and battled hard to reduced the deficit in the 88th-minute as Amoura received the pass from Tiago Tomas to curl home with the outside of his left boot, but it was too little, too late.

Heidenheim 0 - St.Pauli 2

The visitors from the Hanseatic City battled hard for their just rewards against Heidenheim who conceded a penalty in the 24th-minute. Protestations were quickly waved away as Frans Krätzig clearly hauled Manolis Saliakas down by the shoulders in the box. Johannes Eggestein remained ice-cool from the spot to send Kevin Müller the wrong way.

The second-half brought it's own fair share of drama and excitement as Frank Schmidt sought parity as Heidenheim grew into the affair. All of Paul Wanner, Adrian Beck, Stefan Schimmer and Maximilian Breunig were introduced at different stages - the latter appeared to come up with an equaliser when he tapped home only for Frans Krätzig to be found offside in the build-up. The result was put to bed when Oladapo Adolayan cut it back for Morgan Guilavogui to convert from 4-yards.

VfL Bochum 3 - RB Leipzig 3

The saying 'a game of two halves' gets thrown about a lot, but nothing epitomises it more than what unfolded at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion. Willi Orban opened the scoring in the 10th-minute as Leipzig looked set to cruise to a convincing win. Less than three minutes later, the next significant attack fell to Antonio Nusa who drilled home from 18-yards as Patrick Drewes dived in despair. Die Roten Bullen extended their lead to 3-0 on 21 minutes when David Raum's cross was driven to the net by Christoph Baumgartner.

Nobody could have forseen a Bochum fightback but Myron Boadu's goal in the 48th-minute provided the catalyst. Gerrit Holtmann picked off Peter Gulacsi's pass to feed the Dutchman who tapped in. Just before the hour, Moritz Broschinski's cross wreaked havoc in the Leipzig box as Boadu bagged his brace. The 61st-minute made for pandemonium at the Ruhrstadion when Nusa felled De Wit in the box. Cometh the hour, cometh the man - Myron Boadu hammered the spot-kick into the top right corner to salvage a vital point for Dieter Hecking's men.

Holstein Kiel 1 - TSG Hoffenheim 3

The highs and lows come thick and fast in Germany's top-flight as TSG Hoffenheim rebounded from last week's harrowing defeat to Bayern with victory over Kiel this afternoon. The hosts were riding high after a shock midweek win over Dortmund but crashed back to earth in the 24th-minute when Adam Hlozek. The Sinsheim club lead 2-0 before the break as Yardimci's blocked effort fell kindly for Andrej Kramaric to jink past Ivezic and beat Timon Weiner convincingly.

Having agreed to join Bayern Munich in summer, Tom Bischof demonstrated his quality when he found Hlozek in space to curl home. The Czechia international's shot was just too powerful for Weiner's fingertips as Hoffenheim kicked for home. Kiel managed a consolation goal late on as substitute Dominik Javorcek crossed for Andu Kelati to head home from close range.
