The 2026 World Cup will take place without Iran. On Wednesday, the Iranian football federation made it official: they are withdrawing from the tournament scheduled for next June in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Sports Minister Ahmad Donyamali confirmed that the national team will not travel to American soil amid a particularly tense geopolitical climate.
