2026 World Cup: Thomas Müller discusses Germany's chances
Just five months remain before the kickoff of the 2026 World Cup. Bayern legend Thomas Müller has opened up about Germany's prospects for winning the title in the United States.
Since joining the Whitecaps this summer, Thomas Müller has been unstoppable. He has racked up 8 goals and 3 assists in 12 matches. In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Müller addressed a range of topics, including Germany’s chances at the 2026 World Cup on American soil. He didn’t hesitate to elaborate on his points.
"Players like Musiala, Wirtz—I can't name them all—even Woltemade, these are incredibly talented players, brilliant in what they do, and they can already make a difference. But I don't yet feel they are truly ready for the title. We have the potential to beat anyone, but also the potential to lose to anyone. That’s how I see it. As a footballing nation, of course we hope that stability will come, and that we won't just have players with great potential, but also players who are real key figures at top international clubs, like Kimmich has been for years at Bayern Munich or Antonio Rüdiger at Real Madrid," he stated.
