2nd Barcelona star publicly endorses Julián Álvarez move | OneFootball

A 2nd member of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Saturday endorsed the club’s summer pursuit of Julián Álvarez.

This of course comes amid the ongoing speculation linking the Argentine with a Camp Nou switch.

Frontman Álvarez is widely understood to have been identified as Barcelona’s priority target to replace the outgoing Robert Lewandowski with a view to next season.

Whilst Atlético Madrid remain desperate to keep hold of their star goalscorer through the summer, negotiations between the two clubs are expected to drag on throughout the window.

And one current member of Hansi Flick’s squad who would be more than happy to call Álvarez a teammate next season comes in the form of Marc Bernal.

After Gavi publicly endorsed a Blaugrana swoop for the World Cup winner on Friday, midfield partner Bernal followed suit a day later.

Asked which player from across world football he would bring to Catalunya this summer if afforded the chance, youngster Bernal told ARA (as cited by Fabrizio Romano):

“Julián Álvarez!”
