England of course have already qualified for the 2026 World Cup finals as top of the group.

However, they will want to complete the job in style, by adding two more victories.

It is England v Serbia at Wembley on Thursday 13 November, with a 7.45pm kick-off.

Then it is Albania v England kicking off at 5pm on Sunday 16 November.

This Thomas Tuchel England squad featuring three Newcastle United players – Anthony Gordon, Nick Pope and Dan Burn.

Eddie Howe earlier this morning had his pre-Brentford press conference and said that whilst they don’t think it is a serious issue, Anthony Gordon could miss Sunday’s match and they are sending him for scans on his hip just to check there is nothing longer-term to worry about. So it remains to be seen whether he will be part of this England squad.

The England squad (see below) was announced at 10am on Friday – Official announcement from The FA:

The England men’s senior squad to play Serbia and Albania in the final round of European Qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been named.

Head coach Thomas Tuchel has picked a 25-man group for the fixtures, which kick-off at Wembley Stadium connected by EE on Thursday 13 November (7.45pm GMT) against Serbia before the Three Lions head to Tirana to play Albania on Sunday 16 November (5pm GMT).

England sealed their place at next summer’s tournament in North America last month following their 5-0 victory over Latvia in Riga, and Tuchel will now be looking to finish with a flourish and fine-tune his team with the remaining games this year.

There’s a return to the squad for Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden and Adam Wharton, while Nick Pope is back among the goalkeepers.

And there’s a first senior call-up for AFC Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott, who has impressed Tuchel with his displays in the Cherries’ midfield this term having also been a key player for England MU21s during their U21 EURO success in the summer.

Tickets are still available for the game with Serbia.
