Nils Zatterstrom joined Sheffield United last summer
Seria A outfit Genoa are in advanced talks with Sheffield United to sign Nils Zatterstrom until the end of the current campaign.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Swede is set for a move away from Bramall Lane as talks continue between the two clubs.
The 20-year-old joined the Blades in the summer, signing a deal until the summer of 2029, but he has yet to feature in the Championship.
The centre-back hasn’t played at senior level since Malmo’s 4-1 win against FK Rigas Futbola skola in the Champions League in July.
Zatterstrom is one of several summer signings at Sheffield United who have been unable to make much of an impact this season.

Genoa are in advanced talks with Sheffield United to secure Zatterstrom just six months after his arrival at Bramall Lane, which came for an initial fee of €3.3 million, as per Fabrizio Romano.
The Serie A side are reportedly seeking a loan with an option to buy clause as part of their agreement with the Blades.
It remains to be seen what the fee will come to as part of that option to buy clause, but it could lead to the player departing without a single minute in the team to his name.
Zatterstrom has been capped one time by the Sweden senior national team, and he arrived with a reputation as a promising young centre-back, but he has been unable to make an impact under Chris Wilder.
Genoa will be hoping he can help their efforts to avoid relegation to Serie B, with the team currently sitting 16th in the Serie A standings, and just three points clear of the bottom three.
Meanwhile, Sheffield United are 17th in the Championship table, with their sights still set on potentially earning another top six finish, if they can put together a strong run of form.
Next up for the Blades is a trip to face Southampton on Wednesday night in a 7.45pm kick-off.

Last summer proved quite a disaster for Sheffield United, who changed manager to Ruben Selles and overhauled the first-team after their play-off final loss - only to get much worse as a result.
But Zatterstrom was a signing with potential, as he had already earned an appearance with Sweden, and he had impressed with Malmö at club level in the Allsvenskan.
Given he is only 20, Zatterstrom could still become a quality player, but the Blades haven’t given him a single opportunity to show what he can do.
