Former Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti does not intend to call Rodrygo up for national team duty with Brazil next month.
That’s according to TNT Sports Brasil, who have late this week provided an insight into the situation.
Recent days have seen the subject of Ancelotti’s plans for the September international break take its place front and centre in the media chatter surrounding Real Madrid.
This comes after word was forthcoming that the Italian has made the call not to afford call-ups to either of Blancos pair Vinícius Jr. or Éder Militão for an upcoming pair of World Cup qualifiers.
In the case of the former, his absence will come chiefly owing to a one-game suspension, whilst Militão is being afforded extra time to fully recover from a serious knee injury.
As alluded to above, though, Ancelotti’s Blancos omissions will not end there…
This comes amid confirmation on the part of TNT Sports Brasil that:
‘Rodrygo is out of the next call-up. According to information from our Monique Danello, coach Ancelotti will use these two September matches to conduct some tests and get to know other names that are on the radar of the Seleção.’
