Arsenal held an open training session at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday, with the vast majority of the first-team squad taking part.
Even fringe players who hadn’t been involved in the matchday squad against Manchester United were part of the session, including Fabio Vieira, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Reiss Nelson, Karl Hein, and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
There were a few young players called up as well, including Max Dowman, Tommy Setford, and Alexei Rojas. Yet there were also a few notable absentees.

Simon Collings reports that there was no sign of Christian Norgaard, Ben White, or Kai Havertz. Gabriel Jesus obviously also remains absent as he works to recover from his ACL injury.
Norgaard had missed the Manchester United clash with a minor injury, and it seems he’s not quite fully fit again yet. White was withdrawn part of the way through the United match, so his absence raises concerns of a possible injury.
As for Havertz, the striker completed the match on Sunday after coming on for Viktor Gyokeres in the 60th minute. There was no previous suggestion of an injury, so hopefully he’s just being rested.
The forward did have a lengthy injury absence last season, so it would be understandable if Arsenal don’t want to overwork him.

Collings adds that Jurrien Timber didn’t take part in the training match, despite being involved in other parts of the session. The defender has had his own injury problems in recent seasons, so keeping him fit will be important if White is out.
