QPR ace Rayan Kolli's future has been discussed and how much he could be worth at Loftus Road this summer...

While Queens Park Rangers may find themselves well adrift of the play-off conversation once again, the emergence of some young stars offers optimism and a much-needed positive ahead of next season at Loftus Road.

Players like Harvey Vale, Richard Kone, and Rayan Kolli could make QPR contenders or huge profits in the future. But the latter is someone who joined the club's academy back in 2013 and has risen through the ranks.

The 21-year-old, who only recently turned that age in February, is beginning to show why he is so highly regarded behind the scenes. In a season where collective progress has been limited, Kolli has taken a noticeable step forward in 2025/26, demonstrating greater consistency, composure, and end product in the final third.

After nine goal involvements in his first two seasons with the club, which came in 32 games, Kolli has five goals in 21 matches this season. That includes a brace against Portsmouth during the thrashing of John Mousinho's side over the weekend.

That development will not have gone unnoticed. For a player of his age profile, performing in a struggling side often attracts even more attention, and QPR will be fully aware that bigger clubs are likely monitoring his situation closely.

Rayan Kolli's value to QPR explained

Kolli is quickly becoming one of their most valuable assets — not just in terms of potential, but also future resale value. In truth, Kolli’s rise is one of the few genuine success stories in a campaign where they are likely to end up finishing way off the play-off places again.

FLW asked our resident QPR fan pundit Louis Moir about what price tag he would put on Kolli’s head right now. We also enquired as to whether he is worried about summer interest.

He responded: "Regarding Kolli, it's hard to put a price tag on him because he's not been playing week in, week out. He's not been excellent in his performances when he's played every game.

"But, you can't deny, when he does play, he has a big effect on the team, really. His finishing is brilliant when he gets a chance. Honestly, you just expect him to put it away.

"Price tag-wise, for someone still so young as well, potential and raw ability too, you'd be looking at maybe a minimum of £5m. I guess? Obviously, he's probably got a bit of time left on his contract as well.

"I'd say £5m minimum and potentially even a few million more than that. But he's obviously one where he needs to improve his all-round game.

"But finishing-wise, he's got one hell of a finish in him. You've seen it with the goals he's scored; it's very instinctive. If he gets a chance, you expect him to put it away.

"So, yeah, and when he does seem to score, he seems to score a brace. He has certainly got big potential, Kolli does. But, obviously, performance-wise and overall game play? That needs to improve.

"Because if that improves, he will be a top player."

Rayan Kolli has to remain with QPR for 2026/27

Even if there is growing interest in Kolli, this summer feels far too soon for a move — especially to the Premier League. At 21, he is still in a crucial stage of his development where regular minutes matter far more than a step up in name alone.

Staying with QPR would allow him to keep building momentum in a familiar environment, refining his decision-making and consistency. His minutes should also gradually increase in a natural way season on season, which is why his best yet could be 2026/27.

From QPR’s perspective, retaining him for at least one more season is essential. Not only could his on-pitch influence and value to the team grow significantly, but his market value would likely skyrocket with another strong campaign. Selling now risks losing out on both fronts.

There is also a wider picture. With emerging talents like Kone and Vale alongside him, Kolli could be central to a more promising, energetic QPR side next season, especially now they have all taken another step forward in their young careers. It's a squad which is capable of pushing far higher up the table with an attacking line all growing together.
