There are four Salford City and three Notts County players that are due to miss out on the League Two play-off final due to injury.
The League Two play-off final is set to be played in boiling hot conditions this Bank Holiday Monday as Notts County take on Salford City at Wembley Stadium.
Both teams missed out on a top three finish and automatic promotion on the final day of the regular season, with Cambridge United managing to squeeze themselves up with a goalless draw away at Crewe Alexandra as Notts County were held to a 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers and Salford couldn’t find a way past Crawley Town.
In the play-offs, Notts County earned themselves a slender 1-0 victory in Derbyshire against Chesterfield, holding on to that margin of victory with a goalless second-leg at Meadow Lane.
As for Salford, their affair was a bit more dramatic, with Karl Robinson’s Ammies having beaten Grimsby Town by two goals to one at Blundell Park before then suffering from the same scoreline being inflicted upon them by the Mariners, leading to an extra-time whereby Salford pinched their Wembley spot via a 117th minute Kaelan Casey goal.
Notts County have been dealt some blows in the spring with major long-term injuries to key defenders, while Salford and Robinson have bemoaned their terrible luck with injuries throughout the campaign.
Now, as the two sides head down to the English capital city to try and accompany Cambridge, as well as Bromley and Milton Keynes Dons, in promotion to League One, we take a look at who will be missing for the two sides on Monday.
Former Stoke City defender Lewis Macari sustained a serious leg injury that required surgery against Colchester United towards the end of last month, and so he remains sidelined for the foreseeable future for the Magpies.

A month prior to that horror injury for Macari, fellow defender Matty Platt was ruled out for a while, too, due to an ACL injury, with the former Bradford City man also unavailable.

25-year-old Norwegian midfielder Harald Tangen, who joined on loan from Sarpsborg in January, was forced off against Harrogate Town in March and is yet to return either.
Former Arsenal defender Zach Awe is one of the longer-term issues that has been plaguing Robinson's squad, and he is set to remain unavailable after missing the semi-finals due to injury.

Jay Bird has endured a miserable time through injury since moving to Greater Manchester from Exeter City last summer, and he remains sidelined for City this week.

Much like Awe, as well as Bird and a few others, Dan Chesters is another player that hasn't specifically been touched upon by Robinson but again missed the semi-finals as a long-term absentee.

Former Huddersfield Town defender and the injury-prone Tom Edwards is another that remains a long-term injury absentee, having failed to recover before the end of the season.

Former Lincoln City and Peterborough United midfielder Jorge Grant is also set to be sidelined for the trip to Wembley, having sustained an injury in the build-up to the final day clash with Crawley.
