Abel Ferreira praised president Leila Pereira over the signing of Jhon Arias after Palmeiras beat Botafogo 2-1. According to Globo.com, he told his post-match press conference he now sleeps a little easier with the Colombian in the squad.

Arias scored his first goal for the club and proved decisive in a result that returned the Verdão to the top of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

Abel said there is no quick fix, stressing adaptation to the club and its methods takes time, and that players do not simply lose their quality. He added he is very satisfied with Arias.
