AC Milan drew 0-0 against Como Women on Matchday 17 of Serie A Women as they were unable to find the breakthrough to close the gap on third place, currently held by Juventus. Third place would secure qualification for the UEFA Women's Champions League 2026/27. Following their important win over the Bianconere, even if only one point this time, Suzanne Bakker’s side recorded their third consecutive positive result. At the Velodromo Attilio Pavesi, wearing the silver version of the fourth kit, the Rossonere were in control of possession, but as the game went on the tempo dropped and the match became balanced with few clear chances.
AC Milan tried hard, especially in the second half when they clearly dominated. However, credit goes to Como Women for their organisation and for closing down spaces across the pitch. AC Milan's push came too late and failed to produce any outcome, with the Rossonere even risking allowing the opponents to go on the counter. Marta Mascarello impressed in midfield with her work rate, quality and forward runs. It’s a draw that feels disappointing given the favourable fixtures ahead. The Rossonere are on 25 points in the table and now turn their attention to an away trip against Sassuolo.

MATCH REPORT The game at the Velodromo Pavesi got off to a lively start, but it didn't last for long. AC Milan came out aggressive, and after just three minutes Van Dooren found herself unmarked after a rebound in the attacking half. The Dutch striker slotted it in, but it was ruled out for offside. AC Milan continued to push and in the 6th minute Kyvåg set up Mascarello, who controlled the ball and struck with her left foot, but Gilardi turned it behind for a corner. From then, the chances were few and sparse, with the Rossonere controlling the game. Como only threatened in the 33rd minute with Nischler’s header, which was weak and saved easily by Giuliani. The first half ended 0-0.
In the second half, AC Milan tried to up the tempo. In the 52nd minute Mascarello tested the Como goalkeeper again, but a deflection sent the ball wide. Como looked to threaten on the counter. In the 88th minute, Bernardi took advantage of a mistake from Giuliani, sending a cross in front of an open goal. Picchi struck but the Rossonere keeper got back into position and tipped it over the bar. In stoppage time, Van Dooren was beaten by Gilardi coming out, then Grimshaw fired at an open goal, but the Dutch forward had fouled the goalkeeper. Grimshaw tried again in the 97th minute from distance but missed. AC Milan v Como Women finished 0-0.
