The club and the player want to continue together, but one issue is stalling negotiations. Rafael Leão wants to remove the release clause currently in his contract with AC Milan.

This clause, set at €175 million, allows any interested club to sign him if they pay that amount. According to reports, the Portuguese forward and his representatives want it taken out to secure his long-term future at Milan.
