Milan News and Corriere dello Sport report Milan are expected to step back from talks for Corinthians midfielder André Luiz after disagreements over how president Osmar Stabile handled negotiations.

They add an initial bid of 17 million euros for 70% was tabled, 15 million fixed plus 2 million in add-ons over three instalments, and that Milan were unhappy when terms changed.

The same outlets say a preliminary document was lodged by Corinthians' legal department, but Stabile withheld approval, which irritated Milan's hierarchy. They also cite discontent with Dorival Júnior's opposition to a sale on 28 February after elimination by Novorizontino in the Campeonato Paulista.

ESPN indicated on Monday a new Milan offer of 18 million euros plus 4 million in bonuses, totalling 22 million for 70% of his rights. Milan News and Corriere dello Sport add the club did not confirm that bid and are expected to step back.

André Luiz debuted for Corinthians in September 2025 in a 1-0 win at Fluminense. He has 28 appearances, 14 starts, with 10 wins, 11 draws and seven defeats, and is preparing for Wednesday's trip to the Maracanã in round nine of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
