Adam Bareiro to Boca, arrival date and contract length | OneFootball

Boca have agreed to buy Adam Bareiro from Fortaleza in Brazil and, subject to a medical, he will become their third signing of this window.

According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the move was negotiated by Juan Román Riquelme and sporting director Marcelo Delgado, and the 29-year-old, who previously played for River, will join Ángel Romero and Santiago Ascacibar in the squad.

Bareiro is due to arrive in the country on Friday for tests, then, if all goes well, to sign. Boca will pay three million dollars for 100% of his rights. The contract is for three years with an option for one more, to renew automatically if both sides agree.

Boca were granted an extension to operate in a closed market after Rodrigo Battaglia suffered an injury and underwent surgery. The midfielder is out for the season, so the club can register a replacement.

Even after Bareiro, they might not be finished. A further extension could allow the hierarchy to chase a winger. If a player is sold or loaned abroad, the club would have until 10 March to complete the arrival of Edwuin Cetré, who belongs to Estudiantes de La Plata.
