After a massive controversy that saw a Senegal goal disallowed and a penalty awarded to Morocco—an incident that so outraged the Senegalese players they left the pitch for several minutes—Brahim Diaz stepped up to face Edouard Mendy.

The Real Madrid star could have secured victory for Morocco, but instead, he sent a Panenka straight into the arms of the Senegalese goalkeeper. The miss proved costly, as Senegal ultimately triumphed in extra time. Diaz’s Panenka has since set social media on fire.
