Yesterday, Achraf Hakimi was crowned African Ballon d'Or 2025, beating out Mohamed Salah, Victor Osimhen, and Serhou Guirassy. The right-back has become the fifth Moroccan player in history to claim this prestigious honor.

Kylian Mbappé was clearly delighted, as shown by his Instagram message: “Love you bro. The king of Africa, congratulations my brother! A more than deserved reward!” Ousmane Dembélé, the 2025 Ballon d'Or winner, was also thrilled for the Moroccan.
