Joelinton was a key player in Newcastle United’s success across the 2024/25 season.
The Brazil international starting six of the seven Carabao Cup matches, including of course playing in the final as United won silverware.
The same impact in the Premier League, Joelinton starting 29 of the opening 33 Premier League matches as Newcastle qualified for the Champions League.
However, a knee injury curtailed the midfielder’s season, as he missed the final five league games, including the final four when United picked up only four points from a possible twelve and eventually stumbled over the Champions League qualifying line.
