After loan ends, Corinthians confirm Talles Magno's departure

On the afternoon of this Saturday (3), Corinthians officially announced the departure of forward Talles Magno, who played for the club at Parque São Jorge from August 2024 to December 2025 and did not have his loan contract renewed with New York City, USA. Thus, the 23-year-old athlete returns to the American team.

“Forward Talles Magno ended his ties with Corinthians at the end of 2025. The club thanks him for his dedication with the black and white jersey, after 67 games, nine goals, and two titles won: Paulistão and Copa do Brasil, in 2025,” said the club in an official statement.

Talles Magno joined Corinthians in the mid-2024 transfer window, initially with a loan contract until mid-2025. The number 43 was important in the team's surge in the 2024 Brazilian Championship – from the relegation zone to the Pré-Libertadores and a spot in the 2025 Copa do Brasil.

In his first months at the club, he scored three goals and provided three assists. In the last season, he was one of Corinthians' highlights in the Paulista Championship, scoring five goals and being a key player in the team then led by Ramón Díaz. His good performance led to the loan being extended for another six months – until December 31 of this year.

However, after the state championship and the arrival of coach Dorival Júnior, in late April, Talles Magno lost his place in the squad and was replaced by young players from the youth academy, such as Dieguinho, Kayke, and Gui Negão. In total, he scored nine goals and provided seven assists in 67 matches with the Corinthians jersey, in addition to two titles won: the 2025 Paulistão, against Palmeiras, and the Copa do Brasil of the same year, against Vasco, the club where he was revealed.

In 2025, despite experiencing more highs than lows, he scored six goals (the team's third top scorer) and provided four assists in 48 games. After winning the Paulistão, Talles Magno scored only one more goal for Corinthians. This goal occurred in the victory over Ceará, 1-0, at Arena Castelão, in the first round of the 2025 Brasileirão.

His last match for the Alvinegro took place on December 7, in a 1-1 draw against Juventude, in Itaquera, in the last round of the Brazilian Championship.
