Olympique de Marseille has officially turned the page on Roberto De Zerbi after reaching a mutual agreement with the Italian coach to end their collaboration ahead of schedule.
This decision comes in the wake of a heavy defeat to their historic rivals, Paris Saint-Germain, suffering a resounding 5-0 loss at the Parc des Princes in the league.
Despite a complicated end to his spell in France, De Zerbi still enjoys a strong reputation in England, thanks in large part to his memorable stint at Brighton, where he established a clear playing identity and left a tactical mark praised by many observers.
According to British journalist Ben Jacobs, the Italian tactician is particularly interested in a return to the Premier League. Several clubs are reportedly monitoring his situation closely in anticipation of possible changes in their dugouts at the end of the season.
De Zerbi’s name is already being mentioned in connection with prestigious clubs such as Liverpool and Manchester United. Tottenham, which had previously shown interest in his profile, also remains attentive to his next move.
All signs point to Roberto De Zerbi quickly finding a new managerial position in England, where his reputation remains intact despite his challenging spell at Marseille.
