Liverpool star breaks another Premier League record

After record-breaking night: Mohamed Salah declines media duties after Liverpool win
Mohamed Salah chose to stay silent after Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Brighton on Saturday politely refusing to speak to the media in the post-match mixed zone following the Premier League encounter.
Journalists were waiting in the designated interview area when Salah briefly stopped before smiling and responding:
“Two weeks in a row? No, no,”
before walking away without further comment.
The Egyptian forward had only just returned to action after missing Liverpool’s previous two matches.
He remained unused substitute against Leeds United before being completely left out of the squad for the clash against Inter Milan in Italy.
That omission came in the wake of Salah’s controversial public comments which prompted head coach Arne Slot to take firm stance on squad discipline.
Saturday’s appearance marked Salah’s on-pitch response not through words but performance.
Despite avoiding the microphones, Salah once again made headlines on the pitch.
Mohamed Salah etched his name deeper into Premier League history after registering assist that saw him break Wayne Rooney’s long standing record for goal contributions with single club.
The Liverpool forward now boasts 277 goal involvement in the competition edging past Rooney’s 276 for Manchester United.
That same assist also pushed Salah’s overall Premier League tally to 280 goal contribution moving him into third place on the league’s all time list and beyond Chelsea icon Frank Lampard.
