Agent confirms Arsenal interest in Bayer Leverkusen striker | OneFootball

The agent of Bayer Leverkusen striker Christian Kofane has confirmed Arsenal are interested in signing the teenager.

Kofame has put himself on the radar of top teams after an impressive debut season at Leverkusen.

The 19-year-old signed for the German side from Spanish Segunda side Albacete last summer for just €5m and has scored seven times in 39 appearances across all competitions.

Kofame made his Cameroon debut last year and has scored twice in four senior caps. The player’s agent, Eric Depolo, has now confirmed interest from Arsenal. He believes Kofame could cost €100m and be the North London side’s striker for the next decade.

“Yes, Arsenal’s interest is genuine. Mikel Arteta likes him very much,” Depolo told DTalking Arsenal.

“There is contact between me and Arsenal. But their focus right now is on winning the league After that, everything will start to move.

“He is a €100 million player. With Kofane, Arsenal will have a top striker for the next 10 years.”
