Al Hilal feature Benzema and Al-Dawsari in 2026-2027 kit after exit rumours | OneFootball

Al-Hilal indirectly addressed speculation over summer exits for Salem Al-Dawsari and Karim Benzema.

According to Goal.com, press reports had suggested the club wanted to offload the pair before the new season, with both entering the final year of their contracts and attracting interest.

On Thursday the club posted a video on their official X account unveiling a white alternative kit for the 2026-2027 campaign. Al-Dawsari and Benzema led the visuals, and the clip also featured Portugal midfielder Ruben Neves, Serbia's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, French full-back Theo Hernandez, Yusuf Akcicek of Türkiye and Senegal's Kalidou Koulibaly.

Being used in a kit launch before a season is often read as a sign a player will stay, though it does not guarantee anything.

Al-Dawsari, a club great since his 2011 breakthrough, delivered his best football across 15 years but his form dipped sharply last season under Italian coach Simone Inzaghi.

Benzema arrived last winter after tearing up his Al-Ittihad contract, then injuries limited him to 13 matches, in which he scored nine goals and provided five assists.
