Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are planning a major transfer spree to close the gap with champions Al-Ittihad. According to a report this Sunday from Foot Mercato, Manchester City attacking midfielder Bernardo Silva is high on the club’s shortlist after missing out on Bruno Fernandes, who decided to remain in Europe. Al-Hilal appointed Simone Inzaghi as head coach and they are also trying to lure Victor Osimhen.
The outlet adds that Al-Hilal have submitted a contractual offer to Bernardo Silva. The Portugal international is currently in Germany to take part in the UEFA Nations League final against Spain this Sunday in Munich. Silva is set to enter his final contract year with Pep Guardiola’s Cityzens. Foot Mercato reports that Silva could be gradually shifted out of City’s starting XI, given Guardiola’s desire to rejuvenate his squad.
