Al-Hilal defender Kalidou Koulibaly has hailed former Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi as one of the best managers in the world.
Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the ex-Napoli star referred to Inzaghi as a ‘top coach.’
Koulibaly is intimately familiar with Inzaghi’s work.
Indeed, the Senegalese center-back spent eight years in Naples before joining Chelsea in the summer of 2023.
Meanwhile, Simone Inzaghi was Lazio’s boss for four years before moving to San Siro in 2021 to replace Antonio Conte.
Furthermore, the 49-year-old was winning titles in both Rome and Milan.
Unfortunately for Inter, his excellent work at San Siro caught the prying eyes of Al-Hilal, who lured him to the desert this summer.
After eight years in Serie A, Inzaghi has left his homeland to embark on a managerial career in the Saudi Pro League.
Kalidou Koulibaly is one of the former Serie A stars who have welcomed the Italian tactician in Riyadh.

Kalidou Koulibaly, who spent his best years in Naples, finds the prospect of working under the ex-Inter coach exciting.
Indeed, Inzaghi arrives in Saudi Arabia with a stellar reputation, with many considering him among the best in business.
Moreover, Koulibaly is a big-time admirer of Inzaghi’s communication skills and training methods.
“He knows that I support Napoli, of course,” Koulibaly said. “A splendid person and a top coach, with history that speaks for itself.
“He reached two Champions League finals and a Scudetto with Inter, after what he achieved at Lazio.
“We speak a lot, obviously in Italian. And he has a very professional staff, I feel great.”
Despite his undeniable coaching skills, Inzaghi tarnished his Inter legacy toward the end of his tenure.
He left the club in controversial circumstances to embrace the riches of Saudi Arabia.
As such, it’s unsurprising that he has fallen out of favor with the Nerazzurri faithful.
