Al-Nassr have reached an agreement to loan Colombian striker Jhon Duran to Fenerbahce (h/t journalist Fabrizio Romano).
Fenerbahce finished second behind Glatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig last season. They are eager to overtake their rivals.
The Turkish outfit are also pushing to sign Manchester City’s Kyle Walker as part of their efforts to strengthen the squad this summer.
Duran will join Mourinho’s team on a season-long loan. He has accepted Fenerbahce’s proposal and is set to complete the move soon.
The Colombian joined Al-Nassr in January 2025 in a €70 million move. He scored 12 goals in all competitions, but the club have decided to send him out on loan.
Fenerbahce view Duran as a key addition to their attacking options.
Manager Jose Mourinho wants more physical presence and directness up front, and the Colombian forward ticks those boxes.
Duran is renowned for his strength, pace, and powerful shooting. He can also operate well in tight spaces, hold up the ball, and bring others into play.
The 21-year-old is strong in the air and dangerous from set-pieces, making him a well-rounded option in the final third.
Fenerbahce are expected to compete on multiple fronts this season. Mourinho wants versatility in his squad, and Duran could play a key role.
Although the initial deal is a loan, there is potential for discussions about a permanent transfer, depending on his performances.
The move gives Duran a chance to prove himself in a new league under a top-level manager.
For Fenerbahce, the signing is a smart short-term addition with considerable upside.
