Alban Lafont is expected to join Amedspor in Türkiye. According to L'Équipe, Nantes have agreed a transfer worth around one million euros with the Süper Lig club.

The 27-year-old returned to La Jonelière after serving as back-up to Yahia Fofana with Ivory Coast at the 2026 World Cup. His spell back at Nantes looks set to be brief after last season’s loan at Panathinaikos. He has made 198 appearances for the club.

Amedspor, a Kurdish club, have been promoted to the top flight for the first time in their history.

Lafont is entering the final year of his Nantes contract, and the club were relegated to Ligue 2 this summer.

This week, Michel Der Zakarian said he is counting on new signing Maxime Dupé as number one.
