Thomas Tuchel’s side are out to complete a perfect qualifying streak
The Three Lions are still perfect in Group K. winning seven games out of seven, and they have still not conceded a goal.
They have racked up 20 themselves, with two more coming in a 2-0 win over Serbia on Thursday.
Thomas Tuchel recalled Jude Bellingham into the squad after omitting him in October, although the Real Madrid midfielder was forced to settle for a place on the bench on his return.
Phil Foden was also called back up for the first time since March, and he took up an unfamiliar false nine position in Tuchel’s 4-2-3-1 in place of Harry Kane.
Now, England travel to Tirana to finish off their qualifiers, and with qualification chalked off already, now could be a good time for the head coach to experiement with the World Cup closing in.
Albania vs England is scheduled for a 5pm GMT kick-off on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
The match will take place at the Arena Kombetare in Tirana.
TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on ITV1, with coverage starting at 4pm GMT ahead of the 5pm kick-off.
Live stream: You can also stream the game live for free on ITVX’s website and app.
Live blog: You can follow all the action on matchday via Standard Sport’s live blog, with expert analysis from Dom Smith and Simon Collings.
The big news coming out of the England camp is that Marc Guehi, who travelled to Hotspur Way, has withdrawn with a foot injury.
The Crystal Palace defender had joined up with the squad despite his knock, but he did not feature against Serbia amid medical assessments.
He was sent home on Friday and will play no part in Tirana.
Elsewhere, it is as you were for the Three Lions, although we should expect some rotation from Tuchel, which could mean a first start for Bellingham and perhaps another sighting of Foden in his new role.
There could also be a second senior cap for Trevoh Chalobah and a debut for Alex Scott, with the Bournemouth midfielder a new addition to the group after his superb form for the Cherries.
There should be full confidence in the England camp of a comfortbale win here, even with the expected changes that Tuchel will make.
The Three Lions have the star power to rack up a big score, and perhaps better the 2-0 scoreline they tallied at Wembley in the reverse fixture.
Even if Kane is rested, expect goals from the visiting side.
