Once the Bryan Mbeumo deal is agreed, Manchester United will focus on outgoings, with Alejandro Garnacho among those earmarked to be sold.

The Red Devils need to improve on outgoings this summer, if they are to afford a high-quality striker as well as reinforcements in midfield and in goal.

The Argentine is a homegrown star, which means his sale will count as pure profit, and given the interest he is generating, INEOS are hoping for a bidding war to ensue.

Chelsea were frontrunners, but now Arsenal, Aston Villa and Tottenham have all entered the race, not to forget Napoli who were close to sealing a deal back in January.

Lot of interest in Alejandro Garnacho

Saudi Pro League sides are also chasing the Argentina international and as per Football Insider, the 20-time English league champions will start bidding at £50 million in the coming days.

“Man United are hoping for a bidding war for wantaway winger Alejandro Garnacho this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

“The 20-year-old is a target for Euro giants Napoli and Atletico Madrid as well as Premier League trio Chelsea, Aston Villa and Tottenham.

“Sources say bidding is expected to start at around £50 million in the coming days and weeks, with Garnacho expected to leave Man United before the deadline later this summer.”

Fans will be disappointed to see the Carrington graduate leave so soon into his United career, but his continued run-ins with Ruben Amorim has meant an exit is likely.

INEOS hoping for bidding war

The first fall-out between the pair came before the Manchester derby late last year, following another incident after the Ipswich Town win.

But both times the pair sorted out their differences, with the head coach even fighting for the winger to be kept on during the winter window.

But Garnacho’s comments post the Europa League final seemed to be the straw that broke the camel’s back with the boss demanding the player to find a new club.

So far, Alejandro Garnacho seems to prefer a move to a rival Premier League club, and while INEOS do not necessarily want to strengthen a direct rival, a bidding war would work just fine.
