Atlético Madrid said in a statement that they have signed Spain international left-back Alejandro Grimaldo from Bayer Leverkusen. The 30-year-old has agreed a four-year contract worth around 20 million euros.

The move gives him his first taste of La Liga, the league of his homeland, after beginning his professional career at Benfica from 2016 to 2023.
