Alice Sombath joins Spurs in club-record deal | OneFootball

Tottenham Hotspur have landed the signing of Alice Sombath from OL Lyonnes for a reported club-record deal.

Although Spurs have not revealed the fee for the French international, journalist Emma Sanders of BBC Sport states that it is more than the £375,000 spent to sign Signe Gaupset.

"I want to do my best here at Tottenham Hotspur," the French international said after becoming a Tottenham player. 

"I think the league is very competitive, every game is a tough game, and that's what I'm most excited about. I saw that Spurs had a very good season last year – my qualities can bring something to the team, even though I know they already have a lot."

Sombath began her career at Paris Saint-Germain before making the switch to Lyonnes. Last season,the defender played 24 games for her side in all competitions, including four appearances in the Champions League.
