Liverpool will entertain Nottingham Forest at Anfield this Saturday afternoon as they hope to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Reds suffered a disappointing 3-0 away at Manchester City recently, so they would be eager to secure a positive result this weekend.

Arne Slot will stick with his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make one tweak to his first XI for this game. Alisson Becker could play from the start of this game, while Giorgi Mamardashvili makes way for him and drops to the bench.

Defence

Alisson Becker could play from the start of this contest after making a complete recovery from his thigh injury. Ibrahima Konate will function alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the centre of the Liverpool backline as they look to keep a good shape when defending inside their half.

Conor Bradley will try to impress as the right-back, while Andy Robertson looks to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will try to go forward and express themselves in the Nottingham half at every chance they get.

Joe Gomez and Milos Kerkez will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch will anchor the midfield for the Merseyside club as they hope to establish their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park.

The talented trio of Florian Wirtz, Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah will function just ahead of them as part of the Liverpool attack. All three of them need to be at the top of their game if the Reds are to come out on top this weekend.

Cody Gakpo and Wataru Enzo will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Hugo Ekitike will lead the line for Liverpool up top. He has to find a way to be a real threat in the final third.

Alexander Isak will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the latter stages if Liverpool are in need of a goal by then.
