There wasn't much quality on display at Turf Moor as Burnley and Bournemouth played out a goalless draw.

Of the two teams, it was the Clarets who really needed the win more considering their position in the Premier League. However, they struggled to create with Jaidon Anthony going closest just before the break when he struck the bar.

Indeed, throughout the game both sides managed 37 efforts in total but only five of those (two for Burnley and three for Bournemouth) were actually on target with Marcus Tavernier also hitting the woodwork for the Cherries.

The home side were lucky to still have 11 players on the field late on when Hannibal Mejbri flew in for an almost trademark reckless tackle that VAR had a long look at but the Tunisia international escaped with just a yellow card.

As the game went on it was Bournemouth who looked likely to pinch all three points with substitutes Enes Unal and David Brooks both having chances that they should have done much better with.

It wasn't a game that will live long in the memory with Bournemouth's point keeping them just ahead of Brighton who won against Sunderland in the other fixture. Burnley meanwhile picked up their 20th point of the season when really this was a big opportunity for more.
