The pitch replacement at Allianz Parque has reached phase four, part of a six-stage programme set out in December 2025 and scheduled to finish in the first two months of the year. The project is being run by WTorre, Palmeiras and turf supplier Soccer Grass.

According to Nosso Palestra, Palmeiras are expected to play the entire Campeonato Paulista and the opening rounds of the Campeonato Brasileiro at Arena Barueri while the works continue.

The current phase involves levelling the gravel layer and compacting the soil. The stadium’s drainage system will also be reinforced.

Subsequent steps will include laying the shock pad, installing the turf carpets and marking out the pitch, among other tasks.

Five containers of turf materials, totalling 32 tonnes, have already arrived in Brazil for installation at Allianz Parque. WTorre’s initial plan is to hand over the new surface between the end of February and the start of March.
