Ruben Amorim cut a frustrated figure after Man Utd failed to beat Bournemouth despite scoring four goals at Old Trafford on Monday night.
The two sides traded blows in a breathtaking encounter in the Premier League that ended 4-4 and a share of the spoils.
Amad Diallo gave United an early lead with a close range header, which was cancelled out by a brilliant Antoine Semenyo strike before the end of the first half.
The Red Devils went into the break ahead, however, after Casemiro headed in from a corner on the stroke of halftime.
United started the game the stronger side but Bournemouth were much improved after the interval. Indeed, they equalised immediately after the restart as Evanilson left Senne Lammens rooted with an excellent finish.
Six minutes later, Marcus Tavernier scored from a direct free kick to put the Cherries 3-2 up, but the game still had more twists and turns to come.
Bruno Fernandes levelled matters again with an even more impressive free kick, moments before Matheus Cunha scored his second goal of the season to put the hosts ahead for a third time.
Super sub Eli Junior Kroupi ensured that Bournemouth would not go home empty handed, though. The striker placed the ball into the corner of the net in the 84th minute and the visitors had chances to win it, but both sides shook hands on a point apiece.
“A fun game,” he told Sky Sports after the final whistle. “I think we started really well. We did a very good first half. The result should be completely different.
“We lost the concentration and they scored two goals. But we managed to get back to the game. We scored two goals again and then we have to finish the game. We need to think about not to go again, but to take calm and to close the game.
“A lot of good things, but a lot of things to work.
“We are not winning games sometimes in the details because it’s a back four, back three, back five. It’s the details that we need to work, understand the momentum of the game. You need to be more clinical, because today against a very good team we create so many chances to win the game.”
