António Silva has agreed terms with Milan to join this summer, which could frustrate Benfica’s plans under Marco Silva.
According to Nicolò Schira, the Portugal international should sign a contract running to June 2031, with the move dependent on club-to-club agreement. Benfica are still trying to extend his deal.
The centre-back, 22, is tied to Benfica until June 2027 and is protected by a 100 million euros release clause. Talks over a renewal continue without a definitive breakthrough.
Milan’s push comes as Silva’s future remains one of the market’s most-tracked storylines. A Seixal academy graduate, he has become a cornerstone and among the squad’s most valuable assets. If negotiations progress, Benfica could lose a defensive pillar in a window that has already forced the club to seek a successor to Nicolás Otamendi.
Beyond Silva, Amorim is said to have flagged further Portuguese targets for the Rossoneri, including Gonçalo Inácio and Francisco Trincão of Sporting. Gonçalo Ramos, a Benfica academy striker, is already confirmed at the Italian club.
