Grêmio have lost Belgian forward Amuzu for Sunday’s Gauchão semi-final first leg against Juventude at the Arena due to a work visa issue, the club said.
His renewal request, filed with the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, was not recorded in time in the Diário Oficial da União.
Head coach Luís Castro is also without Noriega, suspended after a red card in the previous round. Dodi and Cuéllar return to the squad as options for the role.
In midfield, Edenilson has been omitted for technical reasons, as has centre-back Wagner Leonardo. Willian or Cristaldo are in contention for the creative berth, while Pavon is the leading candidate to replace Amuzu up front.
The likely Grêmio XI: Weverton, Marcos Rocha, Balbuena, Gustavo Martins, Marlon, Dodi, Arthur, Tetê, Willian, Pavon, Carlos Vinícius.
The squad includes Gabriel Grando, Weverton, Caio Paulista, João Pedro, Marcos Rocha, Marlon, Balbuena, Gustavo Martins, Kannemann, Viery, Arthur, Cuéllar, Dodi, Tiaguinho, Cristaldo, Jefinho, Willian, André Henrique, Carlos Vinicius, Enamorado, Gabriel Mec, Pavon and Tetê.
