Brennan Johnson produced a cool, calm finish that legendary marksman Clive Allen would have been proud of to secure victory against Burnley - so who better than the Spurs legend who scored a record 49 goals in the 1986/87 season to talk us through it with the goalscorer?

With 66 minutes on the clock, and leading 2-0 thanks to a spectacular double from Richarlison, Brennan raced full speed onto Pape Matar Sarr's pass, held off Hjalmar Ekdal and clipped the ball over advancing goalkeeper Martin Dubravka. It was footballing poetry in motion and made it the perfect afternoon for Thomas Frank, three points, three goals and clean sheet on his first Premier League game in charge.

Brennan joined us on The Review Show afterwards, where he was able to break down his goal with Clive, former Spurs striker, coach for eight years and now a top pundit, Golden Boot winner in 1986/87 and still the holder of the Club record for most goals in a single season...

Clive: ""When we talk about the start to the season, obviously, you get off the mark, which is always a great feeling for your confidence. Tell us about the goal... I love the first touch, just dragging it away from the centre half, but then just staying calm, lifting it over the keeper's legs...

Brennan: "Yeah, exactly. It was great, a weight of pass from Pape. I think it allowed me to keep going with the ball, stay in my flow and not slow down. Once the touch was kind of in between me, I was happy not to use my left foot. I wanted to use my right foot and just touch it away from the keeper. So, yeah, happy with it. Hopefully I can keep producing more goals. The first touch was important, as I said, Pape plays a perfect weight of pass, but for me, it was about not breaking stride. I wanted to keep my momentum going, and touched it away from the defender."

Clive: "Just dragging it off the line so the centre half can’t even make a challenge, he can’t make a tackle, the distance… he can’t get to the ball. The first touch was exquisite, the finish fantastic."

Brennan: "I'm happy with it. I think it came at a good time, to kind of see the game off, and yeah, it's stuff that I've been working on - being in on goal, staying calm and trying to help the team which I'm so happy about."

Clive: "It’s the weight of pass, as you said, and the confidence, taking it off the line of the defender - he can’t make a challenge, it’s in the box, that gives Brennan that little bit of an angle, and then the composure was fabulous to lift it over the keeper’s legs, a great finish."

Ben Haines, presenter: "It was a slightly different position for you today, Brennan, how are you finding the new system?

Brennan: "Yeah, it's good. It's new for me, it's learning, it's improving, it's being in different positions, which I haven't played in a while. I think it goes back to when I was at Forest and the Championship playing on the left. So, it's been a while and yeah, these things don't don't happen overnight. I've been trying to work on different ways to affect the game from the left, and today was difficult at times, but I think there's definitely things I can take and try and improve on."
