El Periódico Mediterráneo reports that Carlo Ancelotti has named Neymar in Brazil’s 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup, his first call-up in more than two and a half years. The tournament begins next month across the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Vinícius Junior and Raphinha are also included, while Endrick, on loan from Real Madrid to Olympique Lyon, makes the cut.
The list was unveiled at a ceremony at the futuristic Museo do Amanha in Rio de Janeiro. Neymar had not featured for the national side since Ancelotti took charge a year ago.
The coach had said he would only pick players at 100% fitness, something Neymar had not achieved since his move to Santos last year after serious knee injuries.
Other surprises are goalkeeper Weverton of Gremio and teenager Rayan of Bournemouth-GBR.
Out injured are Estêvão of Chelsea, Rodrygo and Éder Militão of Real Madrid, all previously trusted by Ancelotti.
Brazil will gather on 27 May at the CBF high-performance centre in Teresópolis. They face Panamá on 31 May at the Maracanã, then travel to the United States the next day.
In the United States, Brazil play Egypt on 6 June in Cleveland in their final warm-up. Group C fixtures are Morocco on 13 June in New Jersey, Haiti on 19 June in Philadelphia, then Scotland five days later in Miami.
