HLN are reporting that Anderlecht captain Colin Coosemans will sign a new deal with the club. The 33-year-old is set to be out of contract next summer, and although negotiations had not been progressing as well as either side had hoped, it appears that Coosemans will be signing an extended deal with Anderlecht.

Coosemans joined Anderlecht back in 2021 but spent the majority of his first few seasons at the club as a backup. However, when Kasper Schmeichel left to join Celtic, Coosemans found himself given the chance to be number one. During the 2024/2025 season he excelled, making 54 appearances and being arguably the sides best player. This season he has regained his spot as the sides number one goalkeeping option, playing 41 games. It has been quite the turnaround for Coosemans at Anderlecht, who has also been promoted to club captain in that time.
