Nottingham Forest have opened the summer transfer window, with business permitted until 11pm on one September as plans take shape for the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.

According to Nottingham Post, head coach Vitor Pereira wants most deals concluded early. He views the current squad as strong and is targeting minor tweaks rather than a major overhaul.

Manchester City remain keen on midfielder Elliot Anderson after a couple of unsuccessful bids. The latest offer was said to top £120m, made up of £106m up front and £15m in add-ons.

Forest continue to be linked with Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi. An offer of about £21m plus bonuses is mooted, short of a £26m valuation, with Roma and Napoli also in the frame.

Interest has also been revived in Celtic midfielder Arne Engels, aged 22, after a winter approach. Fulham, West Ham and Napoli are also said to be monitoring him.

At the back, Roma’s Polish defender Jan Ziolkowski, 21, has been discussed, with a reported verbal bid of £13m. Roma are understood to want £17m, while Brighton and Hove Albion, Bournemouth and West Ham United have also been linked.
