Ange Postecoglou appointed as Nottingham Forest manager

Nottingham Forest have named Ange Postecoglou as their new head coach.

The announcement came just hours after the club confirmed that Nuno Espírito Santo had been shown the door.

For Postecoglou it’s a quick return to management as the 60-year-old was dismissed by Tottenham only three months ago after a poor league campaign that saw Spurs finish 17th. Even so, his spell ended on a high note, delivering the Europa League and finally ending their long trophy drought.

The Australian will be on the touchline this Saturday when Forest travel to Arsenal, and he’s expected to bring a number of his old Spurs coaching staff with him.

Forest currently sit 10th in the Premier League after their opening three fixtures.

Nottingham Forest is delighted to confirm the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as the Club’s First Team Head Coach. Postecoglou has been in management for over 25 years, arriving on Trentside with experience of regularly competing and winning trophies at the highest level.
