Sections of Nottingham Forest supporters chanted “you’re getting sacked in the morning” as well as the name of former manager Nuno Espirito Santo during their side’s defeat to FC FC Midtjylland.

Ange Postecoglou made it six games without a win since being appointed Forest boss with the 3-2 Europa League defeat at the City Ground.

The visitors scored twice from set-pieces, either side of Dan Ndoye’s equaliser, before adding a third late in the second half through Valdemar Byskov.

Chris Wood came off the bench to score a late penalty to make it 3-2 but it proved to be too little to late.

Asked for his reaction to the chants from supporters, Postecoglou told TNT Sports: “Yeah, I heard it.

“They are fans. They want to see their team win and they’re entitled to their opinion.”

Asked if he was surprised, he added: “Nothing surprises me in football anymore.”

On the defeat, Postecoglou said: “Really disappointing. Just really, really poor goals we conceded in the first half that allowed the opposition to get comfortable in the game.

“It’s been the story of our last few games. In key moments we let ourselves down.”
