Another penalty not given to FC Porto for a foul on Deniz Gül

The final stretch of the first half was marked by a controversial incident in the Rio Ave area. At 39 minutes, Deniz Gül entered the opponent's area and, at the moment of the shot, ended up falling and requesting a penalty on Nikitscher. Referee David Silva asked the players to wait but let the game continue after consulting the VAR.

The replays leave no doubt: Nikitscher stretched his leg to try to clear the ball and failed. By placing his foot between the ball and Deniz Gül's foot, he prevented the shot; Deniz hit the opponent's foot, which ended up touching the ball with the toe. A penalty in favor of FC Porto was not awarded.
