The management of Entente Sportive Sétifienne (ESS) officially announced on Monday, July 7, 2025, the appointment of German manager Antoine Hey as the new head coach of the first team for the 2025/2026 season.This decision is part of the club’s ambition to reclaim its place at the summit of Algerian football, following a previous season that saw them finish sixth in the league standings.

Who is Antoine Hey?

Born on September 19, 1970, in Berlin, Antoine Hey is a German manager and former professional footballer.His club career includes stints in Germany, England, Switzerland, Cyprus, and Tunisia, notably with VfR Neumünster, Union Sportive de Monastir, and Al-Merrikh SC.His most recent assignment was with the Myanmar national team, a position he left at the start of 2023. Since then, he has not held any coaching role.
