Borussia Dortmund cruised to a comfortable 2-0 win over FC Heidenheim earlier. Speaking in the mixed room afterwards, Waldemar Anton felt content with their afternoon's work.
"Even in the first half, we played well with eleven against eleven. The red card played into our hands. We tried to find space through the center and went into the break with a 2-0 lead.
“In the second half, we let the game flow a bit. It's normal to lose a few percent then. We should have created a few more chances. Overall, we're satisfied and happy to take the points,” he added.
Maximilian Beier, who scored BVB's crucial second goal just before the break, told Sky Germany he was equally satisfied and hopes to take the momentum into their clash with Juventus.
"We're very happy with two goals and no goals conceded. The red card was decisive. When you play almost the entire game with a man up, it makes things much easier.
"We want to be at the top throughout the season, so today's win was very important. We want to carry the flow into the game against Juventus, which won't be easy.
“But if we continue to play with confidence, I think we have a chance of getting three points,” the 22-year-old marksman explained.
