Anton Stach has shared a picture of a badly swollen right ankle, heightening Leeds United concerns after their FA Cup quarter-final shootout win at West Ham.
The midfielder was hurt in the 39th minute after a heavy Max Kilman challenge, moments after shooting at goal on a counter. He briefly returned but was soon replaced by Brenden Aaronson, before the tie was settled by Pascal Struijk in the shootout.
The player said in a post that he celebrated the result with a "What an Easter Sunday" message, then followed up with the image of his ankle.
Post-match, Daniel Farke felt Stach should have had a penalty and described the issue as probably a ligament injury. Further assessment is required, he praised Stach’s display and hopes it is not too serious.
Stach later referenced the phrase "stop acting", hinting someone had questioned the severity. He will be examined once the swelling subsides this week and is a major doubt to face Manchester United next Monday.
Leeds concerns grew when Joe Rodon rolled his ankle in the second half and was replaced by Sebastiaan Bornauw. Noah Okafor also came off late on with cramp following his long lay-off, which was considered understandable.
