Antonio Conte has confirmed his Napoli exit, and Fenerbahçe have moved to explore a marquee hire that would command one of the Süper Lig’s biggest coaching salaries.

Fanatik reports that the 56-year-old wants at least €15m a year to take charge, plus a €5m bonus if he wins the league.

Conte will be a free agent this summer after agreeing to leave the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona by mutual consent. A serial winner, he has seven league titles across Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan.

The chase is complicated by Fenerbahçe’s presidential race. Incumbent-linked candidates Aziz Yildirim and Hakan Safi have both sounded out Conte, but any appointment cannot be ratified until after the June vote.

Conte departs Naples after two seasons that delivered a Scudetto and the Supercoppa Italiana. He formally tendered his resignation on 25 May 2026, informing president Aurelio De Laurentiis that his time at Napoli was over.

The İstanbul club face competition for his signature, with Conte linked to a return to the Italy job or a year’s sabbatical. Should he choose Istanbul, it would be his third spell abroad after volatile yet successful stints at Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

For Fenerbahçe supporters, a renewed, all-out title push in 2026 sits at the heart of the club’s roadmap. Whether Conte fronts it depends on how his next move unfolds.
